Uk Licence Template Can You Drive In The UK On An Irish Licence Indefinitely?

Can you drive in the UK on an Irish Licence indefinitely? - uk licence template

I lived in Scotland for 18 months. I just bought a car to drive to their workplace. I have an Irish license, but I told myself that I can not get put penalty points on my license by the British authorities. Is that true? I was told that because of what I have to get a license in the United Kingdom in some time. Anyone who knows anything about this?

The DVLA can not accept not issued a license from another country. Basically, this is not "our" license if we do not touch us. You can keep your license in Ireland if you want, but you need a license for the British, that we shall set points. This will be by completing form D9 to the local DVLA office or phone 0870 240 0009 available. The deadline for obtaining a license in the UK depends on the amount of time available to produce the license office of the effort they put the points on it for you.

Hope this helps. If you call this number further questions DVLA up or you can contact me and I will investigate further for you.

Ireland is part of the EC.

If you have a community, it can drive down in the UK for the period. Alternatively, your license for a UK population at any time.

As long as your license remains valid you in GB drive:

Driving for licensees bike (regular license):

up to 70 years or three years after it is established, whichever is longer

Trucks, vans, buses, license (driving training) drive:

up to 45 years or five years after the start of the inhabitants, is longer
if they are over 45 (but 66th in 65) until their Birthday or for five years after the beginning of the population, whichever is shorter
If you are 65 years or older than 12 months after the beginning of the residence

As a tourist you are entitled to take your license for one year. After a year who receive no more tourism and the need for a license.

If you are in the UK for more than 12 months (from date of first entry to live), you must change your license from a license from Ireland, United Kingdom. You may be able to apply to D1 form at any post office received. There is no fee for the exchange.

If the United Kingdom will be points on your license in Ireland, but legaly in the United Kingdom within 12 months of stay, or can be licensed to take your car or even arrest ANR. I'm from the UK and moved to Ireland, where the investment is used for me, and I do not have a license for Ireland
